Chloé Kontos is the Head of External Affairs for Trustworthy Shopping at Amazon, overseeing compliance, product safety, and quality partnerships and initiatives globally.
Prior to Amazon, Chloé held leadership roles at prominent organizations. At MD Anderson Cancer Center, she was the director of the Office of the Chief Technology and Digital Officer, responsible for strategy, budget, operations, and communication across various teams. Before that, she was Executive Director of Email and Endpoint Security at JP Morgan Chase in their Cybersecurity practice, leading risk and product strategy for the firm.
Chloé has extensive experience in government, serving across three White House Administrations. She was the Executive Director of the National Science and Technology Council (NSTC) in the Office of Science and Technology Policy, coordinating Federal Science and Technology policy-making. She also worked as a senior policy advisor at the White House Office of Management and Budget and consulted for both the Trump and Biden Administrations.
Beyond her professional endeavors, Chloé is a former Peace Corps Volunteer where she built programs to teach women literacy and financial skills in the Dominican Republic. She is currently pursuing her MBA at Wake Forest University and resides in Mclean, VA with her husband and two rescue dogs, Oso and Olivia.
