Dean Kelly is the CEO of www.gainful.com, America's leading personal performance nutrition company. Gainful sells personalized supplements and provides expert 1-1 guidance to help people across the country feel their best. Joining Gainful over 3 years ago when there were only 6 people, he has since led the company through rapid growth, product and channel expansion and multiple fundraising rounds from some of the best consumer investors across the US, Asia and Europe. He was previously the GM of the Pet Supplies category across the United States for all of Walmart's e-commerce channels (Walmart.com, Jet.com and Hayneedle) where he oversaw a multi-hundred million dollar business, and a GM at Zola, where he was responsible for building the vendor marketplace - a platform for connecting vendors to couples for their wedding day.
Dean started his career at Booz Allen as a management consultant where he spent over 5 years working across categories and countries solving complex business problems for Fortune 500 companies, before leading corporate development for the Clinton Foundation in Malawi. Combining his passion for sport and business, Dean was also the Head of Strategy at Football Federation Australia, the governing body for Soccer in Australia. Dean then set off his successful entrepreneurial journey, launching and selling Zanui (one of Australia's largest online furniture and homewares company) before moving to San Francisco where he launched HeyLets (an app to share and discover experiences tailored to your interests) and Orbirental (a SAAS platform for the management of Vacation rentals, which sold to a large property management company). As an avid angel investor, he has made over 15 angel investments across the globe.
As an Australian living in New York, he spends plenty of time on planes visiting his family back in Australia, Greece and Scotland, and an equal amount of time correcting the name he is given on his coffee cup due to his accent...
