Similar to environment, we want every company, specifically those outside our industry, to have a health/nutrition mandate.
From clothing to tech to the auto industry – every company has a social and environmental impact and we’ve seen what strides can be made when they’ve come together to address the environment while also creating tremendous value for their stakeholders. We believe that this model can be followed when looking at how companies impact nutrition.
In the same way that value has been created by the private sector in addressing environmental concerns – there is an opportunity here for the industry to come together and address issues of nutrition around the world.
Some examples:
• What if electronics manufacturers were required to make sure that every single pregnant woman in their factories were receiving prenatal vitamins?
• What if clothing companies had to make sure that the people farming their cotton had access to vitamin A for all preschool aged children living in the community?
• What if car manufacturers had programs to educate all their staff on the importance of vitamins and minerals to maintain good health?
• What if all these actions were supported by investors, governments, and consumers (just like climate)? What if every company had a nutrition mandate? How would that transform the health of the world? It will take a lot of work and we can do it! Join Us!
