Since earning a degree in Environmental Studies in 1998, Matt has dedicated his career to fostering a deeper connection between humans and our natural surroundings. As both an organic farmer and environmental educator, he works daily to improve human relations among all sentient beings of our interconnected planetary home. And over the past decade, he has worked and learned alongside a growing diversity of botanicals at Herb Pharm's regenerative organic farm located in southern Oregon. This is a region that has been recently impacted by historic levels of extreme drought, wildfires, and population growth. In direct response to climate and environmental degradation, Matt utilizes biological soil-building practices, biodiversity assessment, and carbon capture principles to foster on-farm resiliency and positive change. He hopes to share these concepts and further discuss climate solutions to continue improving our future integration of agriculture back into disrupted native habitats.Sessions
